When I wrote the song, I had a movie playing in my head—a little Irish fishing town, a warm neighborhood pub, fishermen coming in after a day at sea, Danny behind the bar, and me at the piano with everyone singing along.

The first words that came to me were, “Raise a pint to all ye good friends…” From there, Danny O'Sullivan and the other characters began to take shape, and the story became the song.

For years I wanted to travel to Ireland and make the video I had imagined, but the cost of producing it on location kept it a dream. Then advances in AI video gave me an opportunity to finally bring that world to life. With a lot of experimentation—and more than 80 hours of scene creation, compositing, animation and editing—the little pub I’d been seeing in my head finally became a place you could visit.

This is my first AI-assisted music video. The technology didn't create the story—it gave me a way to finally show you the story I'd been seeing since the day I wrote the song.
